Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality concrete projects on time, within budget, and withinscope. This role will oversee all aspects of structural concrete construction from start to finish, coordinating efforts across internal team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong field and technical knowledge specific the structural concrete industry, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, and adapt effectively to changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Know and comply with all federal, state, local building codes, ordinances and regulations, maintaining the highest standards for safety and quality.
  • Manage relationships with all internal and external parties to determine specifications of the project, resolve conflict, and support success.
  • Help establish project schedule and sequencing and delegate project tasks based on staff strengths, skills, and experience.
  • Actively lead project buyout, budget finalization, value engineering opportunities, and subcontracting.
  • Secure and allocate all resources needed for the completion of the project.
  • Negotiate, manage and communicate changes to contract scope, schedule and costs.
  • Plan and execute inspections, assess compliance and quality, minimize risk.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and cost reporting ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Regularly confer with supervisors to monitor and report on compliance, quality and productivity.
  • Be a strong team leader, build synergy within and across the team, and develop and mentor individuals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience in concrete construction considered.
  • 5+ years of concrete-specific experience preferred, but not required; candidates with a strong understanding of the construction industry and a desire adapt and grow into managing large scale structural concrete projects will be considered.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and formwork drawings.
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, cost control, contract management, and change management skills, particularly as they relate to self-perform labor and production.
  • Proficiency with construction technology and software, including MS Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, On-Screen Take-Off, REVIT or similar BIM software, and project scheduling tools.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, strong initiative and knack for building successful teams, and leadership skills.
  • OSHA-30 certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
